I missed the Halloween picture, so I made it a point in my life to do a picture for halloween. Amazing, this isn't a photograph. It's working 17 straight hours a foot away from the monitor with an art tablet and extreme patience. My internet went down a good solid two hours which gave me confidence to work on this without interruptions.
For a reference on shape, hair and lips, I used this picture I tore out of a magazine. Worked quite nicely, too. I'm sooo proud of this. SUCH a better worked picture than my last one that is absolute crap.
57 layers in all. 42 of them JUST the face to accomplish the smoothness and photographic feeling. I have pride in the lips. They're so full and pretty. Came out very nice.
Thank you, Nem, for picking out the name for me. I had tons of papers skattered on my desk but no name. Thanks.
First time for everything- I signed my full name. I actually PRACTICED my signature for that. lol... since it's crappy and illegible either way. Just looks better now.
So, after 17 hours straight, 2 playlist and 2 cokes, I give you Arien. Plllllllease fav it if you like it. I'd appreciate it so much.
damn wild that really looks friggin awesome! i love the lips hehe. hair looks awesome, perportions are spot on, shading, color choice, all top! great work, you're getting better and better

wow... beautiful... I love the snow... and her hair falling over one of her eyes... just great.... the eye doesn't look all that sharp... which is a shame since it's the strongest feature of the piece... but it's definitely forgivable... when I was looking at the small view I was like... 'you know... this chic really needs a scarf... that would just make this great...' and then I open it up and... boom... scarf... I love it great job... especially like the black and white rather than color... I don't think I've ever seen a photo-realistic piece painted in b&w before

great work. you did a great job at making the skin and lips look real.
her hair on the right could be a little better.. it kinda looks like she just cut a bit off or somthing, but i had to pick on somthing eh?
did i mention the snow gives it a nice touch.
No photo? Damn good. Her expression is so chilly that I'll freeze when looking any longer at her. But seriously she has a very straight look, cuz the focusation seems to be concentrated just on her eye. The skin surface is totally photorealistic and her hairs just perfectly detailed. I must believe you when you say this took you at least 17 hours. Just the pose of lips and eye are stunnning enough. The shades are super smooth, but still stong enough for a natural 3d appearance. The monochrome colour tone and the snow subject make her cool look perfect and create a momently impression. Really an astonishing piece.

Freaking amazing, I love it. Lips look great, so does the hair, and I just love the look of her skin. Beautiful, other than that and that I'm faving this not much else to say, other than the fact that I'm drooling a helluva lot.
